Greetings Star Seeds,
My greatest hope is that you are all attending to your personal and collective wellness and care with kindness and compassion. We find ourselves in the midst of unprecedented historical events during the Covid 19 pandemic without a road map on how to deal with its myriad affects on our bodies, emotions, mental state, psychic space, and energy system. In the course of the pandemic, the murder of George Floyd was a catalyst and call to action around issues of racial justice. We could no longer ignore the depths to which our racist systems have been devaluing black lives for far too long. We will not be returning to "normal". Nor should we want to in my opinion. What was considered "normal" was broken and in need of a major overhaul.
Flower essences can be a source of support for the state of collective trauma we are experiencing on this journey. They are not only agents of change, but allies and ambassadors from the nature kingdom. Essences invite the unconscious into the realm of the conscious in ways that support shift and provide opportunities for personal growth and evolution of mind, body, and spirit. Flower essences can bring profound presence to an experience, emotion or trauma, making transformation possible. One way they do this, is that they support us in the emotional awareness process . They help us feel the hard feels and grieve the losses we are experiencing, of which there are a multitude. In order to become whole, we need to be able to access the full spectrum of emotions, not just the socially acceptable ones. Everyone gets a seat at the table of our belonging.
Essences help us re-integrate our selves during times of transition, and dissolution. They help ground us to our internal compasses and support us in the journey of discovering where our inner coordinates are when the world as we have known it is dissolving. If our jobs or careers are gone or paused, and we have self-identified by what we do, who are we becoming without that external metric of self?
The experience of trauma is universal. Trauma can be described as the impact of an event, action, input or intrusion into our system. When a force is introduced into our field it creates information or codes. If those codes are not resonant with our system, we don't have an obvious or available way to integrate the information. If it remains unresolved, I believe trauma can "live" in the realms-physical, emotional, mental, spiritual or in the energy field. Trauma can be physical, such as abuse, accidents, surgeries, environmental; such as a natural disaster, the constant sound of sirens or a pandemic, emotional; being the recipient of damaging words, not receiving love, collective; such as war or witnessing the murders of black lives over and over again at the hands of an unjust system. We are all effected in different ways proportionate to the impact that force has on us personally. Essences can inform the energetic codes, some of which hold imprinted traumas, and introduce frequencies that can bring the dis-ease into harmony with nature's healing vibration. If we can increase our capacity to be present, we become more capable to be there in healthy ways for others and better equipped to address social issues. If we know ourselves at deeper levels, we know where we stand and we are better able to respond from an empowered space that is in alignment with our soul. Healing is rarely a linear journey. Essences aid the layered work of healing and can support us in being better resourced to navigate the uncertainties and all the emotions of this moment in time. It can be advantageous to work with a skilled therapist in conjunction with essences for extra support.
Trauma can be held in place, stuck in the body's connective tissue causing discomfort and pain. What happens in one area affects all others. It's likely there will also be an emotional component or even an ancestral one that is connected to this pattern. Animals and lands are also affected by trauma, if there has been a battle and that energy lingers, or even a fight between two people, one can sense it in the air. It doesn't feel smooth nor expansive, it may feel tight or even scary. Essences can be a wonderful agent of healing and support during this time.
Take a moment to remember how you felt the last time you were in nature. For me, nature connects me to my body. I am able to breathe more deeply and consciously. My thoughts have clarity. I have a sense of presence, belonging and safety. I feel seen as my most authentic self. My heart expands and I can sense tension and stress leaving. I remember that I too am made up of the elements and that everything is reflected in cycles of life, growth, death and renewal. Everyone's experience is unique. Personally, the two main supports during these last few months (and always) have been going into nature and taking flower essences. This has been my saving grace and I am so grateful for their soul medicine, especially during this pivotal time in our history. May we always remember our wildness and our innocence and may we partner with nature in reciprocity so that we may heal together.
