December’s Medicine of the Moment is intended to help bring ease, grace and embodied presence to the holidays, which are often complicated and full of potential healing opportunities. This holiday season is a little more packed due to the presence of a solar eclipse on Dec. 26th’s new moon in Capricorn. Its sister Lunar eclipse falls on the full moon in Cancer on Jan.10, 2020. In my opinion essences are a must have around the holiday season to keep us grounded and centered. Misting myself and my environment with All is well and  Stone Shields, have served me tremendously well during travel and kept me safe within my sacred hoop. These two sprays bring a sense of inner calm when interacting with the world. The support navigating crowded airports and large holiday gatherings from a place of inner serenity and steady presence rather than from a place of stress and anxiety. Think master purifier meets magical disc of safety and sacred container. Both are beautiful allies for healers and empaths, reminding us that it is possible to enjoy an experience without absorbing and taking on the energies of the world.

As we sat in meditation, Mary Magdalene came through, and offered the
words "Remember Who You Are". Often we have to let go of and unravel who we think we are supposed to be, who we have been told we should be, or parts of our identity that no longer fit in order to step into the truth of who we are. Mary Magdalene is known as She of a Thousand Angels and can be a great teacher, guide and support as we speak our truth and connect with opening our throat chakra.

Clients often ask me about the different components of an Astro-Soma healing session. Today I would like to talk about two of the modalities that I am passionate about and believe are aligned synergistically: Flower essences and Visionary Craniosacral Work. Both provide a window into clear seeing, illuminate perception and expand perspective. Both are tools to hone intuitive guidance and connection to inner healing resources. Flower essences are a vibrational therapy that work on the subtle body and create a matrix of healing on all levels and Visionary Craniosacral Work is a modality that spans the physical and energetic realms. I love combining these two systems for soul support during times of transition. They help shift perception and invite insight as we move into increased awareness. They are gateways to deeper levels of self-reflection. 

​Flowers and nature have been a love of mine since I was a child. I was magnetized to flower essence therapy as though I was remembering an ancient knowing. The language of flowers was in my soul and in my cells; I recognized the healing power of this system and it made sense to me on a pre-cognitive level. My journey led me to studying the Alaskan essence system and the cacti of the Sonoran desert with Desert Alchemy essences, but I have an affinity for all flowers. Each has a specific vibration and message that is unique to its soul design, just like we do.
 
While I use traditional infusion methods to create essences, for me, the birth process of an essence is alchemical, includes ritual and meditation, prayer and invocation and a deep desire to commune with nature and the healing gifts that are being offered. This connection is nothing short of sacred. I consider star+root essences to be portals for transformation, and allies during the process. They have supported my soul’s evolutionary journey as well as that of my clients, especially during this pivotal time in history where where there is a clarion call for consciousness.

​Star+root essences are created with the soul signature of flowers as well as gemstones, and draw from environmental and cosmic energies as well. These essences are made with attention to astrological weather, moon cycles and portal times, such as equinoxes, solstices, and eclipses. I always invoke the help of my spiritual team and ascended masters, angels and allies that wish to come forth in the creation of this vibrational medicine. Essences are a great adjunct to any healing program with an emphasis on balance, harmony and wholeness. 

I find them essences to be incredible agents of awareness and perception. When our consciousness changes, we are able to change. When something is already bubbling inside, they are a gentle ally to help bring it forth. I believe they contribute to the creation of a new energetic life blueprint by gently yet powerfully providing us with an invitation to remember our true essence.

Visionary Craniosacral Work as taught by Hugh Milne spans the physical and energetic realms. A
subtle touch with profound effects. The intention is to create a clear mind, a free body and an open heart. It is relaxing and appropriate for enhancing overall health and wellness and, like essences, can be applied to people of all ages and abilities. It can help clear emotional and spiritual blocks as well as ease physical restrictions as the client’s system unwinds and releases areas of holding due to injury, past trauma, or unprocessed information. This work can feel dreamy, and trance-like as the brain drops into Alpha wave states where we are able to access deep levels of healing. Clients with neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ dysfunction and tinnitus can greatly benefit from this work. I liken the work to re-booting the system; a welcome reprieve for an overtaxed nervous system that allows you to go deep and unwind so you can move with greater ease on all levels.

For me VCS work is an opportunity to touch someone's soul. To meet hearts and join tissue. I feel into the place where the client’s rivers start and stop and where the flow could be restored. It's a journey, a dance and incredibly intimate. It is sacred work. One of my favorite components of this modality is working with the Windows to the Sky acupuncture points, found around the neck, head and arms. Working with these points that are the connection between heaven and earth, provide a window (insight) into behaviors and patterns,  help regain loss of spirit and reconnect us to divinity. 

Blending these modalities in Astro-Soma sessions to support a client's personal empowerment process, encourage deeper levels of self-inquiry and enjoy a more creative and conscious life is my life's passion. 11/11 is a portal time. An opportunity to say yes to the universe and walk through a cosmic gateway to a new energetic matrix. A time when there is an invitation to dance with the energies of Divine wisdom. It is also a day where the sun and Mercury join together in the sky. This won’t occur again until 2032, which feels significant. The sun/mercury conjunction will be transmitting to us an opportunity to speak our truth, step out of the shadows, love our shadow-out loud, review how we talk to ourselves and how our words create our reality. It can give us permission to shine and express our brilliance. Ascended masters and guides are very approachable during 11/11. Call on them for assistance and guidance.
 
The last month or so has been complicated, chaotic and intense on many levels, personally, politically, collectively and globally. Many of my clients have been working with being reconfigured, dismembering parts of an old life and jumping or being pushed into the cauldron of transformation; their very being-ness undergoing radical change. Many have said they feel as though they are going through the (re)birth canal. Myself included.
 
Deep change is alchemical. It delivers us from one dimension to another, from one state of consciousness to another. Just like the birth process. It’s messy, intense, deep, beautiful and requires courage and support. What energetic doorway are you being invited to step through? 11/11 also marks the midway point of Mercury’s retrograde cycle in Scorpio. And it happens right before the full moon in Taurus on 11/12. This feels potent to me. 

​So at this time we have the the messenger of the gods, Mercury, the alchemist, retrograding and hooking up with the Sun. We are currently in Scorpio season, a time of alchemy through death and rebirth, and it’s a portal day of transcendent potential. To me this timing speaks to reframing the stories we tell ourselves about who we are as embodied souls so that we are more self-aware and able to heal ourselves and our Earth. Spend a little time today with this in whatever way suits you to ask and receive direct divine guidance. Make an offering to this particular mercury retrograde: endeavor to speak truth and ask for what needs to be revealed and/or released for the restoration of balance. Sip some fresh rosemary tea, call in your spirit team, and take some notes on what comes.
